The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) will hold a two-(half) day workshop, “Engineering Extracellular Vesicles for Heart, Lung, Blood, and Sleep (HLBS) Diseases” on September 16-17, 2021. The objective of this workshop is to evaluate critical knowledge gaps and research opportunities with multidisciplinary approaches to explore the utility of engineered extracellular vesicles (EVs) for the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of HLBS diseases. The workshop will bring together basic, translational, and clinical scientists and include a FDA perspective, a pro/con debate, and the following sessions:
