Pulmonary hypertension is a type of high blood pressure that affects the arteries in your lungs and on the right side of your heart. The condition is highly morbid. The mean survival time upon diagnosis is five years. The current therapy mode of vasodilators, which open the blood vessels, do not stop or reverse the disease. There is a pressing need for new treatment options.
